Benji's Pit Master Class

Class starts April 11, 2020.

Are you just starting out in BBQ, and want to learn about real bbq and not just the 4 competition meats?

It is the most intensive and comprehensive class for Pit Masters in Utah. Period! Most of the other schools teach you how to cook like the celebrity but they do very little to teach you in the methodology of cooking and explaining the why and how. Our bbq is backed by science! It’s not repeating and perpetuating the latest trend or BBQ myth. 

The other guys only talk about bare knuckles tactics that make you better at cooking, no matter what pit you use but science proves otherwise. You have to know your pit. 

It’s more hands-on than any class you will find! It is fast paced no non-sense, what you need to know type of class.

7:00pm - 9:00pm

When you arrive, you get an apron, a knife and a cutting board.

Starting a fire 

9:00pm - 10:00pm

I instruct you how to prepare a whole brisket. You and your team will then go to your designated bbq pit. Respectively, the process is then repeated for the other meats. Ribs, pork butt, whole chicken, lamb, tri tip. 




On to the Pit

10:00pm - 6:00am

We will watch our fire and meats to ensure all meats are cooked by the designated finish time

Prepare our cooked meats for the Pit Master Graduation Ceremony. 

6:00pm - 9:00pm (Invite 4 guests)

Pit Master Graduation Ceremony 

Pit Master will receive a Pit Master Certification certified by Benji. 


With our collection of bbq pits, you will learn the physics inside each bbq pit. How to control pit temperature, and learn the differences in barrel, offset, stick burner, and reverse flow. We teach outside in all weather conditions, to ensure you have a true understanding of what being a pit master is all about.
